About the New York Chapter

The New York Chapter of Friends of the Israel Defense Forces was founded at the inception of the organization in 1981. Today we are more than 50,000 strong and we are incredibly proud of all that we do support the young men and women of the IDF.

Located at the FIDF headquarters, the New York Chapter includes a Real Estate Division and the very active FIDF NY Young Leadership Chapter. We host numerous events throughout the year including exclusive briefings with high-ranking IDF Officers, cocktail receptions, parlor meetings, film screenings and luncheons.

FIDF’s iconic New York Annual Gala attracts more than 1,200 people, including celebrities and the who’s who of New York Jewish philanthropy. Featuring Israeli and American Dignitaries, as well as esteemed IDF top brass, the event raises upwards of 24 million dollars in a single evening. Last year alone, we raised $35 million in support of our brothers and sisters in uniform. We are proud to currently be supporting more than 80 IMPACT! students.
