About the Adopt a Brigade Program

FIDF’s Adopt a Brigade program allows supporters to connect directly with an entire brigade. In many ways a microcosm of the full range of FIDF’s programs, soldiers in adopted brigades are cared for with a personal touch, empowering them to focus exclusively on the challenging mission of protecting the Jewish homeland. Lone Soldiers in adopted brigades receive services that ease their time away from home, including a flight home to visit their families. Grants are given to soldiers with severe financial difficulties, and food and holiday vouchers are distributed to soldiers from low socioeconomic backgrounds. After long periods of intense training and extreme physical activity, weeks of rest and recuperation allow soldiers to rest and recharge. The program also provides commanders with funds to hold events and activities that celebrate the soldiers’ achievements, which boost morale and team spirit.
