Wounded Soldiers: Helping them Heal.

FIDF partners with Brothers for Life (BFL) to help disabled and newly injured Israeli combat soldiers put the pieces of their lives back together following a severe wound, injury, or trauma. Soldier-to-soldier mentoring programs enable newly injured soldiers to interact with others who have been through similar experiences. The sense of community that develops, and the personal empowerment, are vital to the healing process. The mentoring process often begins on the hospital bed and continues until the injured brother or sister is not only able to return to his own life but to help others do so as well.

“For the first time since my injury, I feel at home. I finally have the support of people who truly understand my situation. I am no longer alone”
